Staff Members
Welcome!

I love what I do! I am incredibly passionate about helping kids and advocating for their success. I feel so fortunate to serve Trost's students, staff, and families. With our continued partnership, we will make a difference!

When I’m not at Trost, my favorite things to do are spend time with my husband and four kids, read, take walks, watch movies, go to the beach, bake desserts, see plays & musicals, ballet dance, watch soccer, and visit New York City!

The main goal of the counseling program is to build strong relationships, so that all students feel both welcome and safe at school. A whole child approach is taken to address social, emotional, academic, and college/career/future goal needs. Please use this site to learn more about the counseling program at Trost, and reach out to me with questions, concerns, or comments. I am so happy to help!

With gratitude for our amazing community, Heather Hensley

What Does a School Counselor Do?

  • Classroom lessons
  • Individual counseling
